Nelson Construction & Renovations was established in 2006 and is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. The company provides design-build, remodeling, addition, custom home, and light commercial construction services throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
Our cabinet makers work with designers, project managers, and construction professionals. The team coordinates the measurements, design, material selections, fabrication, and installation for each project.
Nelson Custom Cabinetry handles cabinet design, fabrication, and installation within the same company. This allows the team to coordinate cabinet dimensions and room layouts with appliances, fixtures, finishes, and surrounding construction.
The same process is used for individual built-ins, single-room projects, kitchens, whole-home cabinetry, renovations, and commercial interiors. Each project is based on the property measurements, approved design, and intended use of the space.

The Nelson Custom Cabinetry team works with the wider Nelson team to coordinate these details. Designs and material selections are confirmed before fabrication; the cabinets are built in the Clearwater workshop, and the installation follows the approved layout.
The project team remains the point of contact as the cabinetry moves from planning into production and installation.

A Message from Gabor Turi

Gabor Turi serves as Director of Millwork and Custom Cabinet Maker. He has more than 20 years of experience in custom, finish, and trim carpentry for homes, restaurants, businesses, and commercial properties.
Gabor leads the millwork team and oversees the cabinetry as it moves through the workshop. The team checks cabinet dimensions, joinery, finish details, hardware, and construction against the approved design before installation.

Projects of Different Sizes
The team can provide a single built-in cabinet, cabinetry for one room, or coordinated storage across a residential or commercial property. During the initial consultation, we review the project scope, design requirements, production work, and expected installation schedule.
Clearwater Millwork Workshop
Cabinetry is fabricated in the company’s Clearwater workshop. Before the completed pieces are transported to the property, the team checks the dimensions, construction, door and drawer alignment, finish details, and hardware.
Made-to-Measure Cabinet Design
Each cabinet layout begins with measurements of the available space and a review of the client’s requirements. We consider storage needs, architectural features, fixtures, appliances, and required clearances before the design is approved.
Coordinated Project Management
Cabinetry may need to align with countertops, flooring, lighting, plumbing, tile, wall finishes, and other parts of a construction or remodeling project. The project team coordinates these elements as the work progresses.
Fabrication and Quality Checks
Cabinet components are fabricated according to the approved dimensions and material selections. The team reviews the construction, alignment, finish, hardware, and other visible details during production and before installation.
Professional Cabinet Installation
During installation, the team positions, fastens, and levels the cabinets before aligning the doors and drawers. The completed cabinetry is checked within the room, and any remaining adjustments are completed before the installation is finished.
Residential and Commercial Cabinetry
Nelson Custom Cabinetry works on kitchens, bathrooms, offices, living rooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, closets, common areas, reception areas, and other residential and commercial interiors.
